How to Create a Glow Effect on a Shaker Card

Hello there everyone! Happy release day! Lydia here. Today, I'm going to share a fun shaker card with a glowing effect. 20240315 095427 1 1 To start, I cut the largest die from Mini Delight: Light My World into place on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of letterpress cardstock. I then removed the die-cut piece, set aside and used the Baroque Elegance Press Plate to add a debossed design to the rest of the panel.

I added the 2 die-cut pieces to my Ultra Sticky Mat and started ink blending. I used Chamomile and Sunray Inks from the Golden Sunset color family for the blub and surrounding area, and Dusk and Desert Night from the Cool Summer Night color family, and Tanzanite Inks for the background. To add a more glow-like effect I also used Cloud White Pigment Ink. 20240315 095435 1 1 To create the string, I used the brush pen from our Fine Liner Pen Set. The top of the bulb was cut from Brushed Silver Metallic Cardstock.

Did you know you can hot foil with Press Plates? Well you can! And it works perfectly. That's how I created the sentiment for this card using Celebration Sentiments Press Plates.
