April 2017 Inspiration Challenge

Hello, everyone!  Sveta is here, and I'm so excited to host this month Inspiration challenge!

I took this photo during my last vacation in Egypt. My friend is holding plumeria flowers in her hands, and I just adore this flower and its scent. There are a lot of them in tropical countries such as Thailand and a rare thing for Egypt, so I was very happy to find it in our hotel.

I'm sure you will find a lot of inspiring elements on this photo. My inspiration was in the background bokeh and the yellow flower itself.

I used  Classic Crest Solar White cardstock for a card base and started stamping with A Splash of Color Stamp Set.

I wanted to use colors from the inspiration scheme, so I choose following  Crisp Dye inks: Glacier Caves Oval Set: Sapphire, Persian Blue, Caribbean Sky, Arctic; Sea Shore Oval Set: Emerald, Lagoon, Volcano Lake, Mountain Mist.

I started with the lightest colors and filled the background ending darkest ones. This background reminded me of a tropical greenery when you head up to look at the sky through the leaves.

I made my yellow flowers using Adore You Stamp Set, watercolor paper, watercolor brush pens, and glitter. Finding the best position for such flowery is always a battle for me and takes the most time. But it is also the most relaxing process.

The sentiment I choose is also from  Adore You Stamp Set, and I think it expresses such a bright, juicy and I'd say life-loving card in the most right way. I heat embossed it with a white fine embossing powder on a deep-blue cardstock.
