Hello, friends!
Svitlana is here. Today, I want to share an idea of Americana decor, which can totally work for a card too. I did mine as a decor piece, mostly because I needed one. I do seasonal and holiday decor in our apartment and like adding a new piece every year.
I like all those pictures which are so popular now of flowers with words kind of tucked in between and wanted to make something similar.
I started by stamping carnations and leaves from the Build-A-Flower: Carnation Set and smaller flowers from the Wild About You Stamp Set.
I used the Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue, Sapphire, and Jet Black Dye Inks for the blue elements and the Coral Berry, Crimson, Velvet, and Dark Chocolate for the red elements.
After all the elements were stamped, I die-cut them using matching dies from the Build-A-Flower: Carnation Set and Wild About You Die Set.
Next, I die-cut letters for the word ‘AMERICA' out of a Solar White Cardstock using dies from the Caps Bold Alphabet Die Set.
I adhered all flowers onto a blue panel. Followed by foam mounting the letters on top. Next, I added leaves, tucking them in between letters.
Which actually finished my piece. I displayed it on this photo “frame” (found on Kohl's recently). But, as I mentioned, this design can totally work for a 4th of July card too.
Have a wonderful day!
