Altenew Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop Graphic

Hi, it's Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese. Today's post is special, as we are joining Kathy Racoosin for the Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop.

I am using the new Woodless Watercolor Pencils from Altenew and you will be able to see just how easy they are to use!

Altenew Kind Reminders Celebrate Us Woodless Watercolor Pencils Take 2 With Therese card video 1

I chose the beautiful Kind Reminders Stamp Set as these flowers have that ‘watercolor' look. My first card is very clean and simple.

I added some Jet Black Ink splatters and a sentiment from the Celebrate Us Stamp Set.

To create my second card, I used the Simple Coloring Stencil, but you can watch the process in the video linked below.

This time, I used the Waterbrush Hello Die and a sub sentiment from the Hello and Hugs Stamp Set.

I am so excited – I just ordered the woodless colored pencils. They have been out of stock and I watch Amber’s videos and was lucky when I checked back. I love water coloring although I still need a lot of practice, and I get so many awesome tips from Altenew and Kathy Racoosin.

Oh Therese, I think both of your cards are so lovely. I’m a huge fan of watercolour, yet this time I think the second card using the ink & pencils is my favourite as I like the depth of colour. I love it when people’s dogs or cats wander into the picture when filming. It puts a large grin on my face. Thanks.

Lagene November 18, 2020 - 10:32 AM

Gorgeous cards, It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I will say the looser watercolor look makes me happiest!

Therese, both of your cards are gorgeous, so soft and pretty! I really enjoyed your video and tips. I’d like to try the tip to tip technique as well as how you use your water brush! I think that would help with control of the color and amount of water applied.

Reply
Linda BL November 18, 2020 - 12:16 PM

Really enjoyed your video! Watching you use these new pencils is making me think that these need to be in my craft room. Both cards are really pretty, still trying to decide which is my favorite. As has been mentioned already, I do love when a cat wanders into the picture.

I love both cards but maybe the “watercolor only” card a little bit better! That’s because I love the look of watercolor so much! Both cards are well designed and great inspiration for any cards I might want to create from my stash of Altenew flowers!
