Good morning! Today we are teaming up with My Sweet Petunia to bring you a fantastic blog hop that you won't want to miss! There will be an abundance of inspiration, and of course opportunities to win prizes along the way :)
Here's a bit of info about the company:
Iliana Myska has been paper crafting since 2001. She initially started card-making when she was asked to serve on the Women’s Ministry. By agreeing to be in charge of the Card Ministry, Iliana began a new journey. Using her scrap booking supplies to embellish premade card bases, her addiction to crafting grew into stamping.
While making one hundred Christmas cards for Bethany Baptist Church, Iliana became frustrated with errors and inconsistencies while stamping. After her failed attempt to Washi tape a stamp press to a mouse pad, an idea occurred. Several trips to the hardware store and MISTI was born.
Before we get to my project, I want to talk to you about the Mini MISTI. This tool is perfect for card makers, and allows you to stamp consistently with a flawless result each time. This makes it wonderful for mass-production, but it also is helpful when using layering stamps! As you can see above, I stamped out my base layer, then aligned the next layer directly on top of my stamped image. Then, I closed the hinge to pick up the stamp, inked it up, and was able to stamp precisely in the correct spot without having to worry about lining things up again.
To create my card, I started with a piece of watercolor paper cut to 4.25″ x 5.5″ – the size of my card base. I used watercolor paints to splatter on a mix of green, yellow, and blue, then set it aside to dry. Next, I used the Mini MISTI to stamp the rose image from Painted Rose using ink from our Red Cosmos and Green Fields ink collections.
I then cut out the flower and leaves, leaving no white border. I stamped “thank you” from Painted Greetings in Jet Black ink onto the dried watercolor panel. Next, I adhered the rose with a bit of foam tape to pop it up, then mounted the watercolor panel to a card base.
I felt it needed just a little something more, so I cut a thin strip of our Gold Mirror cardstock to place along the bottom edge.
PRIZES:
There are TWO mini MISTIs from My Sweet Petunia and THREE $30 gift certificates from Altenew up for grabs. Winners will be picked randomly from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Winners will be announced on the My Sweet Petunia and Altenew blogs on July 3, 2016.
I also want to announce that we are running a special promotion today and tomorrow – free U.S shipping on all orders!

These products are the best! The two step and three step stamps make your cards look so real. The misti makes it easier to stamp and restamp or to make several of the same kind of card. I love them all. Thanks
