Hi there Altenew friends, welcome to the 12th of the month! Normally, Altenew releases the monthly Craft-A-Flower Layering Die Sets on this day every month.
Today is extra special because Altenew is launching all FIVE of their monthly subscriptions on the same day for the Marvelous Monthly Series collection!
What exactly does this mean? You get FIVE times the excitement today as myself and many of my crafting friends showcase their projects from the following bundles:
- Build-A-Garden: Nature's Magic
- Craft-A-Flower: Cape Marguerite
- Craft Your Life Project Kit: Silk Art
- Mini Delight: Hooray!
- Paint-A-Flower: Flowering Dogwood
Marvelous Monthly Series
Get ready to celebrate the start of summer with this collection of stamps, dies, stencils, and an embossing folder! See a fresh take on florals, outline images just waiting to be colored with your favorite mediums, AND a sweet little sentiment set that can go from birthdays to graduation celebrations! We can't wait to see what you create.
June 2022 Marvelous Monthly Series Collection

Perfect Pairings with Jaycee
The Perfect Pairings with Jaycee series also airs on the Altenew YouTube channel every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month!
I'm so fortunate to kick off this Marvelous Monthly Series with a video tutorial showcasing the Paint-A-Flower: Flowering Dogwood. I have an affinity for the Paint-A-Flower Subscription, so I have to say that each month's new flower is my new favorite. Though, the other four subscriptions are great additions to every crafting collection and crafting budget.
Linear Sentiment Placement
Notice how the line of flowers and dogwood bracts drift toward the ‘You are enough' sentiment. This is intentionally done by lining up the arrangement of flowers to point toward the stamped sentiment. The addition of the Meadow Reflections Stamp Set butterfly helps draw the eye to the sentiment.
Shaped Sentiment Compositions: Circular and Triangular
I have the last two quick tips on creating beautiful simple sentiment arrangements on this one card.
I did not have the Build-A-Garden: Nature's Magic, however, I have something similar in my collection. This Poppy Garden Stamp and Die Bundle create my triangular bouquet on my card front, acting as my floral focal area. Then, I can simply frame the flowers in the Lacy Doily Die as my circular element.
|
Now, as mentioned in the video, I can place my sentiment anywhere in the circular area creating a healthy cluster of elements. Coloring, texture, color palettes, and other elements of card making are just as important as composition. I suggest seeing what pairs well in your stamping collection to make dynamic statements on your cards!
