Good morning, and thank you very much for joining us! Today we are celebrating a new release of stamps, which are now available for purchase at our store. The new sets were revealed yesterday, if you missed that post, you may check it out here.  We have five incredibly talented designers who will be sharing projects using the new stamps. Join us and hop along for some inspiration and fabulous prizes!

As usual, Jen and I made some cards with the new stamps, so let's get started with those.

Floral Motifs- Copics

Floral Motifs- Copics-01

The Floral Motifs set is great for creating your own unique designs, and for coloring techniques. Here, two flowers and some branches and leaves were used along with Copic markers to create this card. The sentiment, which is included in the set, was embossed in gold.

Halftone Thanks-stamped

Halftone Thanks-stamped-01

For this cards, first the floral images from Lacy Scrolls were stamped at one side of the card base, then the large halftone ‘thanks' was stamped on top. The accompanying sentiment from the Halftone Thanks set was embossed in gold on a strip of white card stock, and adhered with foam tape.

Bejeweled-water colors

Bejeweled-water colors-01

In this card, the beautifully detailed butterfly from Bejeweled was embossed in gold on water color paper, then water colored with Peerless water colors. The dots on the wings and the butterfly body were covered with liquid pearls. To add interest to the card base, diagonal stripes of white embossing paste were applied with the help of a stencil. Some red leaves from Lacy Scrolls were added to complement the butterfly.

Doctors Rule-anatomy

We love the intricate details on the heart from Doctors Rule, and we believe it can be used for a variety of occasions.  In the card above, it was used along with a love/humor message where  the word ‘thump' was stamped multiple times without re-inking.  DSC_0710-2

Our Invisible Numbers set is just perfect for birthday and anniversary cards!  The sentiment was stamped onto a white banner and adhered to a fun patterned paper.  Balloons, from Birthday Greetings, were stamped in coordinating colors.   A bit of string finishes off the card!

The Invisible Numbers were used here to create dates on pocket scrapbooking cards!  They were embossed in white onto watercolor paper, then distress ink was added for a lovely resist.  For added interest, a few images from Striped Florals were embossed onto vellum and stapled to each card.

This card features the versatile Wood Pallet Background set.  The woodgrain pattern was stamped to cover the whole front of the card base- the large scale allows it to be stamped in either portrait or landscape orientation.  The sentiment and banner, from the same set, were stamped in black to offset all of the colorful florals.

Vintage Flowers-simple stamped

Vintage Flowers-simple stamped-01

In this card, the two large flowers from Vintage Flowers were stamped and cut. The leaves were stamped directly on the card base before the flowers were adhered. The sentiment is from our Sketchy Rose set. The inks used are all brand new colors that are coming soon to the Altenew store!

Here, the Vintage Flowers base images were first stamped in white – this allowed the colors to show up on such a dark background.  A bit of black and white striped paper and an embossed sentiment from Halftone Hello provide some nice contrast to the flowers!

Our three step balloons really shine on this card- by using a base color, a shadow, and a bit of white for shine, you can create a unique balloon unlike any other stamp!  The sentiment, also from Birthday Greetings, was stamped in black ink and a black pen was used to draw in the balloon strings.

Here you can see another way to use the elements from the Birthday Greetings set.  The balloons were stamped in Distress Ink, and a waterbrush was used to give it that watercolor look.  The sentiment was embossed in white onto black cardstock for a pop of contrast.

These two cards feature our Striped Florals set.  They are so much fun to color!  Copic Markers were used to create beautiful and bold floral arrangements.  The first card uses sentiments from Halftone Hello and Quilled Elegance, and the second has one from Label Love!

Although a bit tough to see in the photos, the moon above (from To the Moon) was stamped with all three steps in three shades of grey ink.   It was then cut out, and adhered to a black card stock panel with foam tape.  Part of the sentiment was stamped on white cardstock, and part of it was embossed directly onto the panel.  Finally, a glitter stripe was added across the bottom for a bit of glitz!

Don't feel like stamping three steps?  No problem!  You can get just as cool of an effect by stamping once.  Here, the moon's second step was embossed in white onto a panel with blended Distress Inks.  The skyline, from Sketchy Cities America, was embossed in black, and the sentiment was added to the inside of the card.

Bottleful of-glitter strip

Last but not least, this card features our unique Bottelful Of set.  Both the solid and the outline bottle images were stamped in two different shades of blue/pool colors. The label was stamped on white card stock, and the sentiment was embossed in silver.

Now hop along to see what our amazing designers created.

Your next stop is everyone's all-time favorite Jennifer Mcguire!!
