Hello, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. Did you know that we have an Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP)? We started this program back in December 2017. Within this short time, we now have 11 ( and counting) Altenew Certified Educators! These talented and hard-working educators started from Level 1 and worked all their way up to Level 3. They passed 3 final challenges and successfully conducted an Altenew card-making workshop (observed by our team members).
You can find out more about the program here. Today we are celebrating the certified Altenew Educators with a special blog hop! There are prizes (of course), so be sure to hop along for inspiration and creative ideas.
We asked our educators to share their “favorites”. They can be their favorite card-making styles, Altenew products, favorite techniques, etc. As the Coordinator of the AECP since day 1, I am kicking it off here with my latest favorite medium – watercolors! With Altenew's Watercolor Brush Markers, anyone can color like a pro!
For the background, I used Metallic Silver Brush Markers from the Winter Wonderland Set. After adhering Flowing Butterfly Stencil with a piece of Washi Tape, I could then easily apply the brush marker over the stencil. See the gorgeous metallic shine!?
I colored the Delicate Primrose with a mix of colors. This is the fun part of playing with the Watercolor Brush Markers. You will be amazed at how the colors mix and how you get unexpectedly rich gorgeous colors!
I used the paper from the Our Family 12×12 Patterned Paper Collection for the card base. The subtle green stripes provide just the right amount of color and interest.
Interested in becoming an Altenew Certified Educator? Please apply here. If you have additional photos of your Altenew projects, you can send them to aecp@altenew.com for review. We hope that you will help us spread some Altenew love!

So many wonderful and inspiring projects. Beautiful hop.
this is so inspirational for me as a participant in the AECP – these ladies are making lovely cards!
I love how you used bright colors but the grey makes it a little muted! Fabulous, Virginia! ❤️
Love the Altenew products and the versatility shown through all of the Educators in their blog posts.
I am loving layering now. Instead of using pencil marks I line up the stamps for each flower on the cheat sheet, then pick them up one at a time with a block and bingo! Perfect lining up each time.
Altenew’s flower images are so beautiful! The water colored wallpaper stamp is perfect!
Ooh! You’ve got my number! I love flowers – real, created , abstract, whatever! I see some beauties on these cards!
Simply beautiful! I love the idea of using markers with stencils – something I need to try. Thank you for the inspiration.
