Altenew Educators “Anything Goes” Video Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, everyone! Welcome to our Altenew Educators' “Anything Goes” Video Hop. Erum here with a new video for the Creative Coloring with Erum video series. I will be your first stop of the Educators' video hop. Our theme is open, Anything Goes, so you will see a variety of techniques today!

I will be sharing an easy way to use Artist Alcohol Markers. So, if you find blending with alcohol markers difficult, this is the video for you!

I used one of my own cards as inspiration for this one, but I toned it down a bit. Instead of using two floral images, I used one, which gives a cleaner look. Once you know how to color the flower, you can add as many as your card size will allow.

For my project, I used the Build-a-Garden Blushing Magnolias Bundle. I stamped the image on Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock in Pink Diamond Crisp Dye Ink because I wanted a no-line coloring look. Next, I used coloring stencils and applied Razzleberry Crisp Dye Ink to the underside of the petals and Pink Diamond Crisp Dye Ink to the upper side of the petals. For the branch, I used Dark Chocolate and Moss Crisp Dye Inks.

To add detail to the flower, I used Razzleberry, Rubellite, and Pinkalicious Artist Alcohol Markers for the darker petals. And Pinkalicious and Pink Diamond for the lighter ones.

To soften the flicks on the lighter petals and to add highlights, I also used the Colorless Blender.

For the beach, I used Mangrove Root, Sea Forest, Marshland, and Misty Moor Artist Alcohol Markers. Once done, I used the add-on die to die-cut the image and set it aside.

Next, I used Jet Black Ink Spray to add black splatters to the card front. And die-cut three different-sized circles using the Fine Rings: Circle Die Set. To add inking to the circle die-cuts, I used Sunray Crisp Dye Ink. Then, adhered everything to the card front with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
