Project Inspiration
I've created two cards today that both feature alcohol inks, two different ways. The cards are both really quick to pull together, so I encourage you to play with the ink and have fun creating your inked panels.

Materials:
I used alcohol ink cardstock for my cards – you could also use other glossy cardstock such as Yupo paper (but not the heavy kind as this doesn't dry emboss too well). I also used an alcohol ink blending solution (you can also use isopropyl alcohol for similar effects). I'm using three colors from the Altenew Artists Markers Alcohol Ink Refills – Fresh Lemon, Puffy Heart, and Arctic.

Basic Technique:
I added some of the solution to the cardstock first, then dropped my colors in, adding more solution to help them blend out. I also pushed them around with air (I used a dust cleaner puffer but you can use a straw). The Puffy Heart and Fresh Lemon blended together in areas to make little orangey colors. The ink dries very rapidly but you still get plenty of time to push it around to get rid of any hard lines and create lovely, wispy colors.

Add Foil:
On the pinky background, I also pushed some of the ink together to have a darker line to which I touched some gold deco foil which adheres to the ink and leaves a pretty sliver of metallic sheen in the ink.
Dry Embossing
I used the Feathered Lilies Embossing Folder in the Project Kit and ran it through my die cutting machine with the yellow panel. I then trimmed out the outline of the image on one edge (which is easier than it looks, the embossed cardstock pulls away as the scissors touch it in most areas). Next, I adhered it to a white notecard with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. The sentiment was stamped with Obsidian Pigment Ink onto the notecard. To tie in with the ink and brighten the background, I splattered a little Warm Sunshine Metallic Ink Spray and adhered a few yellow iridescent gems.

Heat Embossing
For the second card, I heat embossed the entire Feathered Lilies image in Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder on white cardstock, then die cut it out. As it is such a large piece, I trimmed it and overlaid it onto the background to create an almost bouquet look. The sentiment was heat embossed with Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder on Jet Black Cardstock and popped on top. To finish, I added a few Antique Gold Sequins.
