This month's kit is a stunning combination of beautiful outline and layered stamps, coordinating dies, coordinating stencils, and some extra sentiment and stripe stencils! Here's a peek at the kit:

The kit features two beautiful roses, both with their outline stamps as well as layered, multi-step stamping, an array of foliage, coordinating stencils and masks, a decorative stencil that includes three different stenciled sentiment options and diagonal stripes, and to top everything off- a gorgeous, super detailed 3D embossing folder.

Nothing is prettier than a garden rose! Enjoy our Craft Your Life Project Kit, an exciting monthly package that is sure to get the creative juices flowing! Featuring a 6×8 stamp set, coordinating die set, as well as a stencil and embossing folder to fit the theme, this project kit has almost everything you need to start crafting. Just add ink and cardstock, and you'll be good to go! This kit features a stamp including two beautifully drawn roses with three layers each and four leaf outlines. Leave these unfilled, or add color with the stencil set! One stencil acts as a coloring/mask stencil, one includes bold stripes, and the third contains three words that go with the sentiments in the stamp set. Finally, add texture with the 3D embossing folder for a stunning project!

Project Inspiration

I have a pair of projects for you today featuring the stencils and layered stamping found in the Craft Your Life: Garden Rose kit, so let's get started with the details!

I love a crisp sapphire blue. It's so classy and timeless, and paired with the right accent colors can be absolutely stunning. Both of my projects feature roses from the Craft Your Life: Garden Rose Project Kit created by combining the stencil base layer and the stamped detail layers. When working with images like these, I like to start by stamping/stenciling a big bunch of them, and then playing with a variety of arrangements until I find just the right one. For these projects, I began by stenciling several base layers of the roses using Rose Quartz Crisp Dye Ink on white cardstock, and then adding the stamped detail layers using Puffy Heart and Purple Wine Crisp Dye Inks. I did the same with the foliage, stenciling the solid base layers with the Sweet Leaf Crisp Dye Ink and adding Just Green Crisp Dye Ink stamped details. I die cut the finished flowers using the coordinating dies included in the kit.

The first project features a veritable garden of roses on my white card base. I knew that I wanted to cover the bottom half of my card front with colorful flowers, so I stenciled and stamped a few roses and foliage on the white A2 card base itself to allow very little white space on the card front once my die-cut flowers were added. I also used the sentiment stencils to blend the crisp Azurite “thanks” sentiment using blending tools.

Once I had finished stenciling and stamping the images on the base, I arranged the stamped and die cut flowers on the card front, adhering them with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I love the combination of the layers stamped on the base as well as popped up with the foam tape; the two heights help to add so much extra detail to the card front, in my opinion.

I stamped a greeting (included in the Garden Rose Stamp Set) on a strip of white cardstock, again with Azurite Crisp Dye Ink, and popped it up above the garden of roses using a double layer of foam tape. So many different heights and layers on this card! The final touch was to add some sparkling sapphire gems to the card front for some sparkle and shine.

My second card is made with the stamped die-cut “leftovers” and the super fun diagonal stencil included in the Garden Rose kit. I began by taping down my white A2 card base to the diagonal stripe stencil, and then blending some more Azurite Crisp Dye Ink to create crisp blue and white stripes. They remind me of beautiful fabric from the early 20th century! I wanted to have a complementary piece of solid blue cardstock peeking out from behind the stripes on one side, so I swiped the Azurite Crisp Dye Ink along the edge of a second piece of white cardstock. I trimmed one side down the striped panel slightly, and then adhered it over the edge of the solid blue panel.

I stamped another greeting on a strip of white cardstock, and then created a little cluster with the leftover rose and foliage around the sentiment strip. I adhered them all with some more foam tape, and then added a few sparkly gems to help draw the eye down the card front and fill in any design gaps.

Well, that's all for my projects today. Now for some fun giveaway information:

While this is a beautiful set…the embossing folder does not emboss the individual flowers or leaves. I am hoping Altenew comes out with a stamp, die, stencil, and embossing folder where the embossing folder is the exact same design and can be used to emboss the individual flower(s) and leaves of the stamp, die, and stencils set…(not just a separate design from the stamp, die and stencils).

OK. This is the first time I made it through the entire Blog and I am glad I did. This a great kit and I am loving the 3D embossing folders from Alternew. What I really enjoy is how it can be a focal point and a background. The Hop gave great inspiration around the folder and for that my favorite was Ishani. I am going to try a lot of those ideas on some of the folders I have now. Second, I need to give shout out to Therese. I needed those marker tips. Great work everyone, I can’t wait to get my tips
