Project
I have a super saturated and vibrant project for you today, so let's get started with the details!

To start, I took a quick peek on Pinterest to get some inspiration for the various colors in which Dendrobium Orchids can grow. I found some gorgeous cool rose flowers and immediately knew that I wanted my orchids to be similar! I die cut the flowers using the darkest and lightest of the colors from the Rose Petal Gradient Cardstock set, as well as a couple of shades from my stash that fit the color scheme I had in my head a little better. I also die cut the foliage from some minty green cardstock that I had in my stash. I adhered all of the pieces using liquid adhesive.
*Tip– to keep the lightest, topmost petals together (to help prevent clumsy people like me from losing one, ha), I kept the pieces inside the negative space in the cardstock instead of popping them out. When I was ready to adhere the pieces to the die cut, I knew exactly where they were and which direction they should go!*

For the card base, I trimmed down an A2 panel of light aqua cardstock, and then used blending brushes to blend both Aqualicious and Teal Cave inks on the lower righthand corner of the panel. I love the effect you can achieve blending on colored cardstock! The saturated color on the cardstock helps the ink blending become so much more vibrant, plus you don't have to work quite as hard to blend a nice vivid color! I also spritzed the blended card base with the Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray to add a bit of extra shine and additional texture to the card base.

For the greeting, I die cut the Fancy Peace Die three times from the same light minty green cardstock used for the card base, and then adhered them together to create a dimensional die-cut. I arranged the sentiment die-cut with the new Craft-A-Flower: Dendrobium Orchid die cuts, adhering the components using both liquid and Instant Dimension Foam Tape. The final touch was to add a few iridescent aqua gems to the card front for added sparkle! I love the monochromatic look coupled with the pops of cool pink on this card.
