To celebrate this release we are having a giveaway along with tons of inspiration from my crafty friends. Keep reading for more details on the giveaway and links to all the beautiful paper projects.
But first, let's get started with today's project.
To start my project, I typically start with a Google Image search just to get some color schemes circulating. Narcissus comes in beautiful cultivars with peachy pink colors that immediately caught my attention.
The petals, stem, and leaves are all cut from white cardstock. The layering guide easily shows how to layer the cardstock pieces. The pistil/stamen layer was cut from a scrap of yellow cardstock and the ‘trumpet' was cut from pink cardstock.
In order to give the illusion of multiple layers of colored cardstock, I used the Golden Sunset family of crisp inks. I used the Detailed Ink Blending Brushes bundle to paint in details into the corona and petals. Then I added variety to my Daffodil bouquet by making some flowers darker than others.
Finally, I foam mounted the flowers on to my card front with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I added a variety of metallic splatters from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set and stamped a gradient sentiment for a simple addition of color that complements the ink blending of the flowers.
