This is Svitlana and I'm so very pleased to participate in this great event. I have a card for you today featuring clear embossing onto a glitter paper.

To make this card first I stamped several pine branches from Poinsettia and Pine on a white card base using Evergreen ink. I also stamped several branches aside onto a white cardstock using Evergreen and Forest Glades inks. which then were die-cut using corresponding dies.

Next I made two gold pinecones by clear embossing pines from the same stamp set onto gold glitter paper and die-cutting them using corresponding dies. I wanted pinecones to be gold and my first thought was to just gold emboss them onto a vellum or white cardstock.

But as this stamp is an outlined one – they would only had gold outlines, but i wanted them to be completely gold. So I decided to go with gold glitter paper. I did the same for poinsettia leaves, this time using silver glitter paper.

Then I created a glitter cluster placing all elements onto the card base on top of stamped pine branches. The sentiment from Modern Deer was stamped onto a white cardstock using Evergreen ink and then fussy cut with scissors. I placed the sentiment on top of glitter cluster. Lastly I added several sequins to the card base.

Hi it's Therese and I'm so excited to be taking part in the Advent Calendar Extravaganza and today I thought I would share two cards and a video so you can see how they came together.

My Poinsettia & Pine bouquets were quick and easy to make with the help of the MISTI and the matching dies. Along with some great Moonrock and Parchment cardstock and sentiments from the Halftone Holidays set, these cards came together without any stress, and we could all use a little less of that this time of year.

Therese, I just love how you’ve colored your natural elements. The card design lets them pop right off the front.
