One Layer Card Using Adore You Florals and Artist Markers

by Erum Tasneem

Hey friends! How are you all doing? For my card today I have used Adore You stamp set and Altenew Artist Markers Set A.

To start off I did a bit of masking and made a bouquet of flowers and leaves using Sea Glass Crisp Ink for all the images. I chose a light colour since I was going for a no-line colouring look. I love the Sea Glass colour, it is GORGEOUS. I have noticed that I reach for it the most!

I coloured my Adore You stamp set  flowers with Sea Glass Artist Marker and leaves with Frayed Leaf plus Forest Glades Artist Marker and then added some details with colour pencils.

The process of colouring images is SO fast if you use artist markers, you don't have to keep on layering colour with pencils to get the finished look. It usually takes me a whole day to colour a bouquet like this if I am using pencils alone. I hope Altenew releases more colour shades soon, these are SO helpful really.

The leaves took me a bit more work than the flowers since I added way too many flicks of colour for depth.

As some of you must have noticed I do like to add a cast shadow if I am doing one layer card, it's very rare that I let the image be, as is. So I added a cast shadow to my image to give an illusion of dimension. The shadow doesn't show much in photos though but it does give a look of dimension in person.

That is all for today folks! I hope you like my card! See you guys soon!

Thank you! I used a regular grey/black colour pencil to add a cast shadow.
