Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here and today I would like to share with you a simple card idea for a monochromatic floral card with embossing paste used in a different way.
Altenew's Embossing Paste is bright white in color, has a smooth texture, and it’s a quick and easy way to add texture and dimension to your cards and other paper crafting projects. It’s commonly used with stencils to create nicely raised backgrounds but for today’s card, I applied it free-hand for some unique effect.
How to Add Embossing Paste in an Alternative Way
I started by stamping leafy images from Wildflower Garden Stamp Set with Forest Glades Crisp Dye Ink onto Forest Glades Cardstock. I cut it to the desired size and attached it to my card base.
Next, I used an Evergreen marker from Cosmic Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set A to add some details to the stamped images.
To finish my card off, I stamped a sentiment from the Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set and applied the embossing paste using… a toothpick! But you can use any thin tool to add some tiny dots of paste to create little white flowers.
I hope this card will inspire you to get creative with your embossing paste. Have you tried this technique before? Do you have other handy card making techniques using embossing paste? Share them below!
Thank you for stopping by today!
