Dynamic Duo: Leaf Wreath
Experience the magic of the Dynamic Duo: Leaf Wreath. The Dynamic Duo: Leaf Wreath Stamp Set will stretch the Leaf Wreath Stencil Set even further with the addition of vein details on the leaves and five accompanying sentiments. Rotate the vein image each time you stamp to complete the full wreath!
Today, I am using the new Dynamic Duo: Leaf Wreath and a few extra projects to bring shimmer and shine to my layout. The new stencil in this set is an easy and quick way to bring texture and shine to your project. Let's take a look at my journal spread.
I am adding a few more ideas and shimmery elements to complement the shine of the wreaths and make the entire project just shine.
Adding Shimmer To Your Photos
There is no better way to make your pictures shine than to frame them with shimmery accents. For this memory keeping project, I am using the Dynamic Duo: Leaf Wreath to create three wreaths using Fresh Dye Ink—you can find all the colors in the supply list. To tie the two tones of colors in the wreaths, I am using a shimmer paste to just one of the leaf designs so that they both have a matching element.
Once the metallic paste dries, I use scissors and a craft knife to hollow out the wreaths and back the space with the pictures. The shimmery wreaths serve as frames for my pictures.
Add Shimmer to the Background
I am using the Gold String Washi Tape as a way to add a soft shimmer to the background. The smooth gold lines in the background are a great contrast to the movement of the wreaths while adding a shimmering touch.
Go Shimmery and Subtle with your Embellishments
Let's continue with adding shimmer to memory keeping by adding extra shine via your embellishments. The key is to keep them subtle so they add that extra touch without overpowering the page. I use Build-a-Garden: Nature's Magic and Obsidian Pigment Ink to create the flowers. Then, I am splattering Lagoon Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray and Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray on the flowers to add that extra pop of shimmer.
A Few Extra Shimmer Textural Elements
To finish my spread, I used thread from the Metallic Thread Set and Antique Gold Sequins around each cluster embellishments in each wreath. These add more pops of shine and the needed texture that completes the spread. You can watch this spread in the upcoming video or HD on Altenew's YouTube Channel.
I hope you enjoyed the video and watched how the Dynamic Duo: Leaf Wreath and a few extra elements are perfect for adding shimmer to your memory keeping layouts. Now it is time for you to get creative!
