Adding Details with Pencils – Video!

by Therese Calvird

Hi it's Therese and today I felt like colouring (no surprise there) and I think these flowers from the Lacy Scrolls stamp set are so pretty.  I love to add details with pencils and because these flowers are solid images they are perfect for this technique.  I popped up the flower panel for a little bit of interest and added a simple sentiment from the Succulents set.

congratulations - Detail copy

Wow! The pencils make a huge difference! Will this work with any colouring pencil or are the special ones? I love the finished card and want some of those tools you used that I have not seen in the UK yet.

You can use any pencils to add shading or details, using a soft pencil like the Prismacolor will just help it to blend easily. Thanks so much for your lovely comment, Therese

Stunning shading with the pencils. I watched the video on YouTube and came here because you mentioned you would list the pencil and ink colors, but I don’t see them. Am I missing them or did you forget to add them? Please help! Thanks so much!
