Creativity Unlocked: Dynamic Duo: Luscious Flora | Adding A Dark Background With Markers

Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today I'll be sharing a great technique for adding a dark background using markers.

I started by using the stencils from Dynamic Duo: Luscious Flora to create an ink-blended background.  I used Sunray, Pink Pearl, and Coral Bliss Inks for the flowers and Volcano Lake, Sweet Leaf, and Just Green Inks for the leaves. Once the ink blending was done I then added the background. Firstly, I drew around the ink-blended images using Starlight Artist Marker. Once all the images were traced around, it was then easy to fill in the background using the same marker.

When the marker background was done I then used the image from Dynamic Duo: Luscious Flora Stamp Set to add in the details. I stamped the details using Embossing Ink and then heat set using Pure White Embossing Ink. The sentiment is from the same set and the enamel dots are the lightest color from the Warm & Cozy Enamel Dot Sets.
