How to Add Texture with 3D Embossing Folders | Take 2 with Therese (with Video Tutorial!)

Today's post shares two card ideas with added texture using 3D embossing folders! In this card project, I used the beautiful Craft Your Life Project Kit: Silk Art.

How to Add Texture with 3D Embossing Folders 

This kit has coordinating stamps, stencils, dies, and embossing folders! This makes a perfect combination for adding texture, after coloring, by using the 3D Embossing Folder.

Card Idea #1: Woodless Coloring Pencils

My first card has a little extra added ‘look of texture' by coloring with the Woodless Coloring Pencils.

And this Brushed Rose Metallic Cardstock made a great sentiment panel for the Bold Thanks Die.

I also added a Golden Peach embossed sentiment from the Modern Hello Stamp Set.

Card Idea #2: Ink Blended Stencil

The Large Ink Blending Tools from Altenew make coloring stencils very quick and easy. I also like to use the Detailed Blending Brushes to add a second color and shading to the images.

I die cut a Halftone Nesting Heart to create a window for the flowers.

For a little extra texture, I added little sparkles to the center of the flowers.

The sentiment is from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set.
