Hi, Debby here. I'm very much enjoying using my colored pencils at the moment. Sometimes I use them to color a whole image, sometimes just to add a few details to a watercolor. For today's card I'm accenting stamped images with colored pencils.
Beautiful Day Stamp Set has to be up there as one of my all time favorite Altenew sets! I love this set as it has beautiful leaves and sprigs which I always think look nice just lightly stamped. You also have the lovely flower which is just the right size to make an impact without overpowering everything else. I stamped three sets of leaves, two sprigs and one flower in Silver Stone crisp ink and then die cut with their matching dies. I then turned to my Altenew inks to give a base layer of detail. For the lines of the leaves I used Moss and Soft Lilac for the flower.
I used Faber Castell pencils to accent the stamped images. For the leaves, I just added light green over the main body of the leaf with a few dark green flicks here and there. I spent more time on the flower and with Kathy Racoosin and her amazing coloring skills in mind, combined purples, yellows, blues and greys.
I kept the rest of the card clean and simple. On a rectangle of white card I stamped the Hello from Amazing You Stamp Set in clear embossing ink. So that it would stand out nicely from the white, I embossed with an Antique Gold powder. I gathered the flower and leaves around the white panel and then adhered them to a kraft panel on a white card base.

Gorgeous, Debby!
Thanks Vicki!
Gorgeous! Fabulous technique.
I’m having such fun with my pencils Dana :D
So beautiful Debby.
Thanks Teresa :D
Beautiful coloring of the flower and leaves, Debby, but it is the design of the card as a whole…the small white panel on the kraft cardstock that really stands out to me and provides a lovely vehicle for presenting the Beautiful Day diecuts.
I’m so glad you liked the design too. I like to keep things simple when there’s a lot going on with the focal point :D
Absolutely gorgeous Debby! I agree about the “Beautiful Day” set, it is one of my favourites too! I hope to find a bit of time today to try your technique :-) Thank you.
Oh I hope you had time to play today Janet!
Stunning! Love ❤️ the colours and colouring.
Thanks Trina :D
So lovely!
Thanks Julie :D
Very beautiful card. I never think of stamping things in any other color except black, so need to broaden my horizons, thank you!
I often like to leave out the black for no line coloring or white embossing – it’s nice to switch things up a little :D
Oh this is SO beautiful and elegant!! Love the way you colored the flower, beautiful unique colors :)
Thank you Tasnim!!
So soft and gorgeous.
Thank you Janet, I do love the softer style :D

Two mediums together, wonderful. This set is really wonderful.
Thanks Annie and yes truly one of my favorite sets :D
A lovely card, as usual, Debby. I especially like how you placed the flower on the stitched centre panel, while the greenery was tucked underneath.
Thanks Susi, I do love the greenery of this set as well as the flower so had to get some leaves in :D
Debby, this is so fresh and so pretty. I love it. I have ignored my colored pencils for so long. lol once again you are influencing me lol. Just the touches of color are lovely. I will want to try this soon. Its so good to be coloring again. hugs, treen

Thanks Megan :D
Such an elegant card, Debby. I like the way the sentiment “card” is tucked into the flower piece. It reminds me of an antique “calling card”–perfect for your sentiment. Thanks for sharing it.
Oh I love the idea of a calling card Helen! :D
I love how you colored this card. It’s so pretty. I can see how you copied what Kathy does. I love colored pencils but then I love to color. Great card!
Oh I love to color too Gail! Hope you have a great week :D
