Abstract Pattern Using Floral Shadow Stamp Set

by Aga

Hello Everyone! It's Aga here and today I have a simple card to share with you using Floral Shadow Stamp Set. It's not a secret that floral stamp sets are my favourite, they are always perfect to create beautiful and elegant arrangements. But this time I wanted to go outside the box and create something to mimic a modern abstract pattern I saw the other day in a magazine. Here’s what I came up.

Altenew Floral Shadow Stamp Set Hi Aga 1

I started by stamping a few floral images from the Floral Shadow Stamp Set to cerate a background. I chose to use here the following Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Volcano Lake, Lagoon, Sea Glass, Blush, Cotton Candy and Sand Dunes. Next, I used fine tip of Altenew black marker to create a dotted background in the spaces between the flowers.

Altenew Floral Shadow Stamp Set Hi Aga 2

To finish my card I used a scrap of black cardstock and die cut the Altenew Bold Alphabet Dies to make “hi” and mounted the negative panel using foam squares.

At first I wanted to trim the bottom edge of the panel to make a perfect rectangle but then I decided to leave it as it is. I think this random shape gives more interest to the card. What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a beautiful day!
Aga

Given the abstract look of the card, I agree, the random cut on the bottom of “Hi” is perfect. TFS!

Aga, you are the Queen of CAS design! This is as special as so many of your creations. Great abstract design and the scrap cardstock as is a perfect touch, it represents a thought/speech bubble to me. Love as is!

Yes yes yes. Love the “as is” scrap. I do that often. And I’m crushing on all those teensy dots.
