Hello, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. I am delighted to share three card ideas for friends who live far away with A Little Bit of Love Stamp Set. This thoughtful and trendy stamp set set conveys the perfect images and sentiment reflecting a time like now. I hope this handy guide on this stamp set prompts you to get creative!
A brief intro about this stamp set: “The set features two female hands and two male hands shaped to form a heart. Both sets of hands can be mixed and matched to create varieties of adorable hand hearts. Color them in with your favorite markers or paint, or use our convenient Simple Coloring Stencils to easily blend ink over the images. This set is finished off with lots of sweet sentiments just perfect for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, birthdays, and more!”
The more I play with the stamp set, the more ideas that I come up with. Let's get started!
Card 1
My first card really shows that you can change up the stamp and make it your own. I decided to use just one of the hands holding flowers. For the hand, I applied Vanilla Cream and Sunray Crisp Dye Inks with the A Little Bit of Love Simple Coloring Stencil. I stamped the outlines with Caramel Toffee Crisp Dye Ink. I can't say enough about this stencil because it truly makes coloring a super simple task! The details are amazing, down to those tiniest fingernail colors!
The size and length of the Craft-A-Flowers: Snowdrops Layering Dies fit into the hand so nicely. The colors of the tiny hearts are Parrot, R 603 Puffy Heart, and R217 Velvet (Artist Markers).
For the background, I die cut the paper (“Enjoy the Ride” Paper Pack) with Dotted Lines Debossing Cover Die. This adds such lovely textures and subtle details.
You must now check out your stash and find out which flower sets are suitable for the lovely hand! You can also use both hands as either way works beautifully!
Card 2
For my next card, I paired it up with Illusion Heart Die Set.
For the textured background, I die cut the Vellum Transparent paper with the Angled Mosaic Embossing Folder. Isn't it cool? For the bright red heart, I inked up the Yupo paper (Alcohol Ink paper) with Artist Markers Alcohol Ink Refill.
The combo of the alcohol ink (Ruby Red, Coral Berry, and Frosted Pink) is incredible with stripes of Gold Foil Cardstock Paper.
This card is great for celebrating love and friendship. It is ideal to send to someone special that lives far away.
Card 3
My 3rd card represents the theme of friendship and unity. A simple card like this can be heartfelt and impactful.
For the background, I stamped World Map Stamp Set with Sea Shore Oval Crisp Dye Ink to create a gradient look.
As you can see, you can form a heart with the two hands. I placed a piece of leftover alcohol-inked paper (from the 2nd card) behind the hands.
I then popped up the entire piece with foam paper. Underneath it, I added Silky Lilac Metallic Thread and Pure White Sequins. For skin colors, I used Pink Pearl, Caramel Toffee, and Espresso. Aren't those colors yummy together?

What beautiful cards to show off this stamp set!
Beautiful cards!
Fabulous cards!!!
how did you make the foil heart
Beautiful cards! Each one is so inspirational. Thank you!
Hi Carol, I die cut the the heart with two pieces of card stock-the red (alcohol-inked paper) and gold paper. I then took two small pieces of gold card stock and placed them over the same spot. This is so-called “Inlaid Die-cutting”. I used Washi Tape (on the backside) to keep the heart as one piece. Hope this is helpful.
Very pretty cards. We are all definitely in need of cards for friends far away.
so very pretty!!
I love your cards using the Little Bit of Love stamp & Die set. I’m waiting for my set to arrive! I especially love the way you made the one hand holding the flowers. Just beautiful! A perfect “get well”, “birthday”, “sympathy” or ANY occasion card!
