3 Beautiful Quick Cards with Altenew’s Circled Greetings

by Laurie Willison

Hello, friends! It's Laurie Willison here with several card using the new Circled Greetings Dies from Altenew. These dies are so versatile! They are perfect for shaker cards, window cards, or even a basic bold sentiment.

Card 1

I love a good rainbow and thought the window in the Circled Greetings: Thanks Die would be a perfect way to showcase one. I simply grabbed a variety of cardstock and cut them into 1/2″ strips. I layered a piece of cardstock, 4 3/4 x 5 1/2, with the strips in rainbow order. I scored the last section at 1/2″ for a flap.

After scoring and die cutting a regular white, A2-sized card with the thanks die, I folded it in half.

I added adhesive to the flap of the rainbow panel and layered it inside the white folded card base.

This way the rainbow panel is visible through the window, as well as when you open the card. I didn't want to waste all that rainbow goodness! Now you have the back of the card to add in your message.

Card 2

Using the Circle Greetings: Hello Die, I created a quick and easy sentiment.

It was so easy to cut the sentiment out of the circle. I cut one out of white cardstock and another out of fun foam. Layering them together creates the perfect dimensional sentiment.

Altenew Alcohol Marker Refills and Yupo paper were used to create the background of this card. Alcohol Inks work great to create a background with lots of interest.

The last project for today is a super easy shaker card.

Card 3

To create this next card, I die cut the Circled Greetings: Hugs Die out of textured cardstock. Using the same die, I cut 2 panels of fun foam and cut the sentiment out.  By layering these 2 pieces of fun foam, I instantly have the perfect shaker box.

I layered a piece of acetate on the back of the hugs window and then layered in the 2 pieces of fun foam. The back panel of the shaker box is covered in Teal Shadow Washi Tape. After adding in the Altenew Antique Gold Sequin into the box, I attached the back panel to the card front.

Beautiful! The background washi tape is something I just can’t imagine. Now, I think I get it!! Like a printed paper, but adhesive on back, right? It made the window card complete. Thanks for all these great ideas.
