Hello, friends!
Svitlana is here with three holiday cards featuring the recently released Birch Forest Stamp Set. This stamp set is not a holiday one per se. But when I saw the background stamp included in the set (considering which season is going on now), I couldn't stop but only see a bunch of holiday ideas.
FESTIVE DEER
There is an oldie but goodie Modern Deer Stamp Set which in my opinion works great with this birch background.
I stamped the deer using the Mocha and Espresso Dye Inks and then die cut it with the matching dies.
The birch forest background was white embossed onto a Parchment panel which then got wrapped with a red twine. I also added a small twine bow around the deer neck right before I popped it up onto the panel.
Then, the panel was foam mounted onto a white card base.
The sentiment I white embossed onto a red cardstock, cut it out and popped up onto the card. To finish the card off, I added several red sequins.
LARGE SENTIMENT
For my first card, I used a classic technique of a continuous background through the card elements.
Here, I stamped the background in Crimson onto a white cardstock and clear embossed it onto a red cardstock.
Then, I die cut the word MERRY out of the white piece using dies from the Bold Alphabet Die Set. When I was die cutting, I overlapped some letters with ones next to them (in order to fit the word onto the panel).
Then, I blended Crimson Dye Ink along the letter edges and adhered them onto the red panel. I aligned the birch design on the letters with the one on the background. Then, I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
The rest of the sentiment I made using the Happy Holidays Stamp Set which I popped up onto the card. Lastly, I added several sequins.
WINTER FOREST SCENE
For my last card, I also using the Modern Deer Stamp Set to accompany the one in question.
I stamped one deer onto a white panel along with the birch background stamped in black. I did some masking to place the deer partially behind one of the birch trees.
Then, I filled the space between the trees with a black marker and added a white spray splatter onto it. After that, I adhered the panel onto a white card base.
I also made two “snow drifts” by tearing a white cardstock piece and foam mounted it onto the card. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Crimson onto a “drift”.
One more deer was stamped, die cut, and adhered onto the card.
Finally, I finished it off by adding several red sequins.

Love all your cards. I have all these sets and have yet to use them. Thank you so much Svitlana for featuring some of the older sets and inspiring us to use them.
Thank you a lot, Delia!
Beautiful cards, but the wording of instructions, especially the “Merry” casts was very fractured & hard to follow.
I’m glad you liked the card. Unfortunately when I make videos people don’t understand the narrative because of my accent…
Really Beautiful cards!!!
Thank you!
Wonderful cards Svitlana. I really liked the MERRY card & understood your instructions. That Crimson is a beautiful colour. The last card with the birch forest & the two deer is so lovely. I like the way the one deer looks like it’s coming out of the trees. Well done!
Thank you so much, Teri! You’re so sweet!
Beautiful holiday cards! love all three and how different they look.
Thank you a lot, Marilynn!
Fabulous card all of them. Your cards are always so beautiful x
Thank you!
I really like the deer cards. They speak winter wonderland to me.
These are all really nice cards. The last one was my favorite of the three. I also like how you used the birch background on a sentiment stamp.
Thank you, Ida!
Very pretty cards. The first card is my favorite. Love the pops of red color with the light tan colors.
Thank you, Linda!
The deer cards were outstanding. Have to get out my stamp set with these deer and make something. Thanks for your techniques and tips.
I’m glad you liked them, Patricia!
such gorgeous cards!!
Thank you, Tara!
These are all beautiful cards Svitlana! I love the bold reds with the deer! And the birch trees are fab!!!!
Three wonderful cards. I just love how the fawn is masked so it is in the trees – that makes the card extra-special.
