Hello there everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing 3 ways to add foiling to your handmade projects without any heat at all!
I started by die cutting the wreath image from Mistletoe Wreath Die Set out of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and then embossed this using Mistletoe Wreath 3D Embossing Folder.
Once the die cut had been embossed, I colored the image using the coordinating stencil set. Ruby Red and Vineyard Berry Inks were used for the berries, and Forest Glades, Shadow Creek, and Moss Inks were used for the leaves. I colored the branch on the image using Mocha Artist Marker.
1st No-Heat Foiling Technique
I added highlight details using the Precision 2 in 1 Glue; I left this to go tacky. Then, I placed some foil over the tacky image – the foil will stick to the glue and add gold highlights to the image.
For the background, I placed Beach Towel Stripes Stencil over a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ at an angle. I then inked through using Ruby Red Ink and removed the stencil.
2nd No-Heat Foiling Technique
I added strips of double-sided adhesive tape into place on the background. I removed the backing from the tape and then added some foil. The foil will stick to the tape to create beautifully foiled stripes.
For the sentiment, I added Double Sided Adhesive Sheets to the back of a piece of white cardstock and cut ‘winter magic' from Winter Typography Die Set several times. I also cut the sentiment again, but this time from a piece of white cardstock with Double Sided Adhesive on both sides. The sentiment die-cuts were stacked on top of each other with the double-sided adhesive one on the top.
3rd No-Heat Foiling Technique
Once the stacked sentiment was in place on the card, I removed the top layer of double-sided adhesive and added some foil to create a super shiny sentiment.

Lydia, this is so beautiful! I would like to try this technique…In your video you used brushed gold foil, but I can’t find it. I’ve searched Altenew products but no foils are found.
