Craft-A-Flower: Water Lily Die Set
Representing beauty, the water lily is the perfect flower to add to a card for your cherished friend or family member! This die set includes everything you need to easily assemble an open waterlily, bud, and lily pad. We have also included two dies to add the “hello, beautiful” sentiment to your project.

I started by cutting all of the dies from Craft-A-Flower Water Lily Die Set three times from a piece of watercolor cardstock.
I then added some water to my work surface and added the die-cut piece over it. Once in place, a little water was added over the top of the watercolor cardstock too. I used the Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set to add color to the die-cut pieces.
TIP! To keep the piece wet, I used a Fine Mister – and I love the mottled effect this added to the final design!
When all of the pieces were colored, I heat set them so they would curl and add more interest to the flowers. Once dry, I layered the pieces together using a little white glue.
- Card #1: I cut a diagonal line across the front of a side folding A2 card base. The flowers and leaves were adhered to the flap that was left.
- Card #2: A circle was cut into the front of a top folding A2 card base using one of the larger dies from the Halftone Circles Die Set. The flowers and leaves were adhered around the die-cut circle.
- Card #3: I took a 4 1/4″ x 5″ piece of white cardstock and scored at 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″, and 3 1/2″. I folded these score lines and then adhered a 4 1/2″ x 6″ piece of acetate folded in half into the folds to create a tent shape. The flowers and leaves were adhered to the cardstock bottom part of the design.

Designer's Tips!
For a striking card, die-cut the floral layers from bright cardstock and adhere to a dark or black background. They are sure to pop! For a simple, understated look, omit the open lily and only cut the layers for the lily bud. This can be used on its own or “placed” in cardstock or stamped vase!
