2nd Anniversary Blog Hop Day 1

Hello, and welcome to Altenew's 2nd year anniversary celebration! Has it been two years already since we release Painted Flowers?! :D

I still remember this day two years ago when Jen and I were both very excited (and a little anxious!) counting down the minutes for the Altenew store to be officially open. What we saw in the next couple of hours, and in fact for the next couple of years was beyond any expectation! We are very humbled to have come this far, and we would like to thank each and everyone of you who have supported us and encouraged us with your kind words.

Today, many of those who helped us grow are joining us with their creativity. We have an AMAZING line up of designers (you can't help but be inspired!) and great prizes! We hope you enjoy!

For my projects, I decided to go back to Altenew's very first release and created a few cards using stamps from that release. There is a reason why I mentioned the Painted Flowers stamp set earlier. It is definitely one of my favorite Altenew stamp sets! I just love the fact that it gives beautiful results every time, even when you stamp it randomly with no design in mind. A proof of that is the card below:

The story: Back in Feb-March 2014, when I received the first sample of Painted Flowers, I was anxious to see how it will look once stamped. I reached out for the nearest piece of scrap paper, and stamped the four flowers in the set. Once I added the little filler images, I thought instead of throwing it away I should try to make it into a card. As soon as I added the sentiment from Label Love, I fell in love with this little card! :)

Today's Painted Flowers card is inspired by a card that I had hand painted, and which in turn was my inspiration to design this set! You can see the original card here.

In my next card I used the large lace image from the Lace Up! set. I just love how it looks embossed in gold! The die cut ‘congrats' is from my friend Stephanie's shop Clearly Besotted Stamps.

Magnolias For Her was the very first floral stamp set that I designed. I had drawn a few Magnolias at the time, and could only fit three in one set. I told myself I would create another set using the remaining Magnolias. Perhaps it is time for that other set? :) The tree branch is from our Winter Cardinal die.

I have a special attachment to Dodecagram as it was the very first (approved) stamp set that I designed! Here I paired it with the Dodec Star Die.
