card drive

We are so fortunate to be part of such a warm, caring, and giving crafting community.

With that being said, we would like to invite you to participate in a special card drive to help bring some love and happiness to others!

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are approaching, and this can be a difficult time for seniors who are in nursing homes or shelters. We want these important people to feel loved, celebrated, and honored, so we have organized the Celebrating Parents Card Drive just as we have in previous years.

As card makers, we know how meaningful it is to share the creations made from the heart with others, and this card drive will help you reach out do just that!

JOIN OUR CARD DRIVE!

We will be collecting handmade cards between March 6th and April 20th, and each donor is eligible to win one of FIVE $30 Altenew gift certificates! If you use #AltenewCardDrive when you share your Celebrating Parents cards on social media, you are entered to win one of THREE additional $15 gift certificates! The winners will be announced on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9th, 2021.

Here are some important reminders and guidelines:

  • Cards may be for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Sentiments should be generic – a specific greeting such as “so happy you’re my dad” wouldn’t really work.
  • Please sign your name on the inside of each card. Feel free to include a note and where you are from.
  • Note: Please avoid including any vulgar language, promotional material, or religious messages in your cards.
  • Kindly put each card in an envelope and make sure they are not sealed.
  • To enter the giveaway, please include a post-it note with your name and email address.
  • We would love for you to use Altenew products, but of course, your cards may use products from other companies!
  • Send your cards to:
    Altenew
    ATTN: Card Drive
    6179 East Molloy Road,
    East Syracuse, NY 13057

If you have any questions or would like us to send cards to a local shelter or a nursing home near you, please email us at support@altenew.com with the subject line “Celebrating Parents Card Drive”.

I am glad to see this. My niece works at a assisted living facility and I make cards for her residents all the time.

I can’t wait to get some cards made even though it will be a little slow going for me I just came home from hospital. I’m going to see what I manage starting today. Thank you for giving back to the parents they so need it! Cindylynn

Two friends and I just donated 48 handmade cards to a seniors retirement home in our home town. All cards were Spring and Mothers Day themed. It was so much fun to spend some of our afternoons on a videochat to make these cards. Our cards were made for the seniors to send to their friends and family.

What a great idea! I’m terrible about mailing things out, so I’m going to get in touch with the assisted living facility my parents just moved to and see about making cards for them. I’ve been on a supplies buying spree and need to start using them!
