Hi, it's Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese.
Today's post shares two card ideas with emboss resist rainbow backgrounds using different mediums. In this card project, I used the beautiful Climbing Leaves Stamp Set.
If you love beautiful foliage backgrounds, the Climbing Leaves Stamp Set is for you! This stamp set has lush greenery and overlapping leafy vines that you can easily add to your next handmade card or scrapbook layout. Color in the many leaves with watercolors for a loose color effect, or die cut the entire design for extra dimension on your art piece. Stamp the inspiring sentiments included in the set to complete your project.
How to Create 2 Fun Rainbow Backgrounds with Emboss Resist Technique

I started by creating two Pure White heat-embossed panels.
Card Idea #1: Ink Blending
The Altenew Large Ink Blending Tools make coloring such a large area very quick and easy.
And the best thing, there is a coordinating Climbing Leaves Die!
I added a Mega Hello die-cut sentiment and a sub sentiment from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set.
Card Idea #2: Watercoloring
I used the Artists' Watercolors but you could certainly create a fun watercolor look by adding water to smooshed Crisp Dye Inks.
PRO TIP:
I heat embossed this image on the Watercolor Paper Pad cardstock as it allowed me to add plenty of water to mix my colors onto the background.
This time I thought it would be fun to add a New Day Frame and a Poised Flamingo.

Love this technique and your cards are gorgeous. I agree with you. Don’t like fussy cutting anymore when I can get a matching die for my stamps. Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects.
Lovely cards, both turned out beautifully. Love the leaves background stamp and die set. Funny you using the little frame again. I love it and I used it on several cards last week. It’s a great finishing touch or setting for a small embellishment.
I agree Karen, the dies make it so easy!
These are Beautiful!!!!
Thanks so much Delia, it’s a fave of mine too!
Thanks Maureen!
