I am guilty of precise and meticulous card creations. Letting go of structured creative formulas is a challenge I have put upon myself. One way I have experimented with interesting floral arrangements is with drawn elements. It does not have to be hard to add these personal touches to your handmade cards.
Line Drawn Floral Elements
Stamping Solid Images
In my card example, I used the Precious Doodles Stamp Set to stamp my flowers and foliage. I took a bit of color inspiration from Virginia's August 2022 Inspiration Challenge blog post.
I did not use my stamp positioning tool to achieve the perfect position. Instead, I focused on the floral field as a whole.
Drawing Linear Elements
The linear elements of Precious Doodles with the added illustrations from the Fine Liner Pen Set were truly a perfect pairing. I took the time to embrace the imperfect drawn lines and let them anchor my floral field to the horizon. The variability between all of the elements really enforced the organic feeling of this card.

Solid Sentiment Banner
To harmonize the irregular lines of the floral field, I used the Mighty Alphabet Die Set to create regular and angular lines in the sentiment. I kept this sentiment placement and composition simple as well. I spend so much of my crafting time trying to think of linear composition. By adding my sentiment to the center of the card, I let it take a bold statement on my card front.
I hope you all take the time to experiment with more organic approaches to your Altenew projects — even if that means you draw them in yourself. Thanks for stopping by!
