Hi, it's Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese. Today, I'm sharing 2 special birthday card ideas!
Birthday cards are always special, but wouldn't it be nice to make them just that little bit more personal Why not add some numbers to highlight the age… or, if that is a little too scary, you could always just use the number '29!' Lol. Today, I have made 2 cards using the versatile Bold Numerals Die Set.
2 Special Birthday Card Ideas with Bold Numbers!
Today's cards are very easy to create, and I wanted to give you both a feminine and neutral example for inspiration.
Card Idea # 1 – Floral Birthday Card
The great thing about adding the numbers as a focal point is that you can pretty much add any style of image or design that you like. I chose the beautiful bouquet from the Gracious Peonies Stamp Set.
And I was able to quickly add color by ink blending with the coordinating Simple Coloring & Layering Stencil.
Then it was time to bring in the star of the show!
I die cut the Bold Numerals Die from Birch Wood Specialty Paper. And I also added a sub-sentiment from the One-Go Birthday Greetings Bundle.
Card Idea # 2 – Stencil Background on a Neutral Birthday Card
For the neutral design, I thought it would be fun to create my own background.
I used the Shattered Cubes Builder Stencil Set and ink blended ‘all the layers'. It was such fun to do and I just adore how these colors look together.
To help the Bold Numerals pop, I decided to die cut them from some Jet Black Cardstock.
PRO TIP: If you are short on time, why not create a quick alcohol inked background or even use a piece of design paper?!
This time, the sub-sentiment is from the Bold Sentiments Stamp Set.

Two great inspirations! I never use age/numbers in a card unless it is for someone under 21, or for a milestone age. Even at that it can be a sensitive subject for some recipients.
Agree. But these 2 cards are really good inspiration for the young recipients.
