Hi, it's Therese and I am back with another edition of Take 2 With Therese.
Today, I have two beautiful floral panel cards using the Dog Rose Panel Dies.
For my first card design, I decided to use the Watercolor Brush Marker Refills to paint some panels.
I added a Jet Black Cardstock outline on top.
And then, I added a white-embossed sentiment from the Statement Flowers Stamp Set.
My second card has a “watercolor look” but, this time, it's created using a design paper from the Alluring Blooms 6×6 Paper Pack.
I added a Pale Gray Cardstock border to this card.
Then embossed a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set.
How-to Video!

This card is amazing! I liked the black background but I preferred the black outline that you went with. I also was nice to see that you played around with colours. I seem to do that a lot, and end up with tones of extra die cut pieces. Its nice to know even the experts play around with colours, sometimes. I always thought you just knew what would go perfect together before hand.
Thanks for the two techniques. I really liked both of these cards with the card stock and the patterned paper. I am going to have to try this with my background dies. I did try and order this set when it first came out but it was already sold out. Hoping it will be stocked soon again!
Sometimes I spend a ‘lot’ of time playing with colour and I often find that I will ultimately go back to my ‘first’ choice so nowadays I try not to overthink it and stay with that lol. thanks so much for your lovely visit here today.
Loved your cards but you gave me such a laugh as I could see myself in your tutorial. I don’t know how many times I have something in mind and then change in the middle as it doesn’t quite look right. Thanks for all your tips.
I think it is all part of the creative process lol and half the fun! Sometimes I’ll ask my husband ‘which one?’ and he says why not make one of each…. he just doesn’t get it lol.
Love your first card with those BOLD colors!
I know right! They are so much fun!
Gorgeous! I like them both for different reasons. The first had great color and I love that layered, floating effect on the second card. Thanks for the video! Everyone always makes it look so easy too line up those die layers but I always have trouble with that. I love getting inky fingers! My scrubee usually takes it right off. I guess I just like feeling everything. Plus, I have a hard time working with gloves on.
I use gloves all day every day so I find them easy to put on…. unless my hands are wet lol. And I too love my Scrubbie, what a fabulous invention, Thanks so much for your lovely visit here today!
Therese – I love to watch your process. Your use of color always impresses. These cards are gorgeous.
Thanks so very much!
