Hey everyone! Mayuri here to share a card as a guest designer, using the Vintage Roses stamp set.
I began by die-cutting an oval out of the centre of a panel of white cardstock that was slightly smaller than my card base. I traced this oval onto the card base as a guide for the next step, which was to stamp various rose clusters from the set around the oval.
My three colour combinations are (from lightest to darkest):
- Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy, Hero Arts Plum Tomato and Hero Arts Red Royal
- Hero Arts Soft Blossom, Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink and Hero Arts Raspberry Jam
- Hero Arts Soft Pool, Hero Arts Tide Pool and Hero Arts Pool
I then stamped one of the sentiments from the set in the centre with black dye ink and foam mounted the die-cut panel on top of the stamped area – the roses peeked through the oval aperture beautifully!
To finish, I stamped the same rose clusters on a piece of white cardstock using the same inks and fussy cut a few of them out. These were then adhered to the card base along with a few sequins and gemstones. For a bit of shimmer, I brushed some clear Wink of Stella onto some of the roses.
Thank you Tasnim and Jen for having me over on the blog – its been a blast!
Thank you Mayuri, for sharing this beautiful card with us!

This is so pretty. So helpful, too, to have a note of the ink combinations for the stamp layers. Will have to try these out! Tracey – UK xx
