Embossed Spring Daisy

by Marika

Hello,

It's Marika here today to host Altenew blog. A long time, no see and I'm so glad to share this card with you. I truly hope you've had a beautiful summer and you've enjoyed it with your loved ones. As many of you may know, I've returned to work and in a couple of weeks I will change to a new workplace (and town). I wanted to say thank you for my wonderful coworkers so they know how much I enjoyed working with them and appreciated their knowledge and experience. So I created this to say thank you.

I was so lacking in time so I decided not to colour this time and played around with some embossing powders that I have had for ages but never got to use them properly. This Spring Daisy set is perfect for heat embossing since it is really detailed and so beautiful as it is. I stamped flower images to a piece of white vellum with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed them with Opaque Bright White Embossing powder. For the leaves, I used two different embossing powders: Metallic Silver and Silver Pearl embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment with Jet Black Ink to Pale Grey card stock from Altenew. I finished up my card with Metallic Silver Sequins to add some detail. So let's take a look, shall we?

I hope you enjoyed my card. Have a beautiful day!

Hugs,

Marika

Hi Marika great to see you back. I love your cards and learn so much from your videos. The only problem I have with you is you make me spend too much money as I always want the stamps I see you use…. Lol xx

Colored or not, this is definitely Marika’s sense of classic design with her, always meticulous, execution. Just an exquisite card that the recipients are going to oooh and aaah over.
